Your AI Second Brain
Set up an Obsidian vault built for AI, connect it to the AI tools you use through Nexus, and run reusable skills on your own notes.

Build an AI second brain in Obsidian
A second brain is the personal knowledge foundation that AI works with: your notes, projects, meetings and decisions, kept in one place you control. This course builds yours in Obsidian, where notes are plain Markdown files on your own computer, so the same knowledge can move with you from one AI tool to the next.
You start with the Obsidian basics: notes, links, folders, tags, properties, Bases, templates and daily notes, set up so both you and AI can find things. Then you learn how agentic AI tools work and how to use them safely, connect your vault to AI through Nexus, and use skills that turn repeat work, like meeting follow-through, into a workflow you can run again.
You don't need prior Obsidian or AI experience. A pre-configured Seed Vault gets you started on day one, and people who already use Obsidian can skip ahead to the AI modules. Connecting AI tools takes some setup, and the lessons walk through the supported options.
Prerequisites
- Basic computer skills: installing an app and finding files and folders on your computer.
- A computer where you can install Obsidian.
- An agentic AI app for the AI modules, such as Claude or Codex (in the ChatGPT desktop app). The lessons demonstrate both. Some plans are paid.
- Optional: an AI provider for chat inside Obsidian through Nexus (an account, an API key or a local model). Some options are paid.
